Permissions

Quotation and Excerption Rights

Written permission is required to quote or excerpt portions of University of Notre Dame Press publications for use in other works, including print and non-print formats, in English or translation. Please submit your request in writing. E-mail requests are not accepted. Be sure your request includes:

Information about the material you wish to use:

• Author or editor
• Complete title
• Year of publication
• Page numbers and, if applicable, figure or illustration numbers

Information about your project:

• Your publisher
• Your title
• Your author or editor
• Date to be published
• Price
• Manuscript length and number of pages of printed book
• Distribution (e.g., U.S. only, world)
• Format (e.g., paperback, paperback and cloth, cloth only)
• Print-run
