Quotation and Excerption Rights
Written permission is required to quote or excerpt portions of University of Notre Dame Press publications for use in other works, including print and non-print formats, in English or translation. Please submit your request in writing. E-mail requests are not accepted. Be sure your request includes:
Information about the material you wish to use:
- Author or editor
- Complete title
- Year of publication
- Page numbers and, if applicable, figure or illustration numbers
Information about your project:
- Your publisher
- Your title
- Your author or editor
- Date to be published
- Price
- Manuscript length and number of pages of printed book
- Distribution (e.g., U.S. only, world)
- Format (e.g., paperback, paperback and cloth, cloth only)
- Print-run
