The University of Notre Dame Press is pleased to announce our annual Notre Dame Press Book Festival and Dirty Book Sale will take place on November 9–10, 2021, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, in the Hesburgh Library Concourse. For decades, graduate and undergraduate students have flocked to our Book Festival and Book Sale. The Book Festival will feature exceptional discounts ($3 paperbacks and $5 hardbacks on select overstock and damaged books), a 40% discount on new and recent titles, author events, autographed books, and prizes. After hosting a virtual Book Festival last year, we are excited to return to an in-person format. All events are free and open to the public.

Latinx Poetry: A Conversation with Four Award-Winning Poets

Recent winners of the Andrés Montoya Poetry Prize—David Campos, Felicia Zamora, Heidi Andrea Restrepo Rhodes, and Darrel Alejandro Holnes —will reflect on current trends in Latinx poetry and will read from their books published by Notre Dame Press. The event is sponsored by Letras Latinas and will be moderated by Francisco Aragón, Institute for Latino Studies faculty member and director of Letras Latinas.

Careers in Publishing: A Discussion with Notre Dame Press Staff

Each year, the University of Notre Dame Press hosts dozens of interns and student employees from many departments on campus. Members of the Notre Dame Press staff will discuss the field of academic publishing, student employment at the Press, and how the Press provides on-the-job training for a career in publishing.
Notre Dame History: A Conversation with Rev. Thomas E. Blantz, C.S.C. and Rev. Edward A. Malloy, C.S.C.

Historian Thomas E. Blantz, C.S.C., author of The University of Notre Dame: A History, and President Emeritus of University of Notre Dame Edward A. Malloy, C.S.C., author of Monk’s Notre Dame, will share stories about their more than 100 combined years of service and leadership at The University of Notre Dame. Kathleen Sprows Cummings, the William W. and Anna Jean Cushwa Director of the Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism and the Rev. John A. O’Brien College Professor of American Studies at the University of Notre Dame, will moderate the discussion.
