A Letter from Our Religion and Theology Editor
Hello from Notre Dame Press!
I’m thrilled that you’re joining us for AARSBL 2022, whether virtually, in-person, or a mix of both. After 12 years in the publishing industry, I joined the University of Notre Dame Press earlier this fall, and it’s my honor to represent Notre Dame at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature.
The heart– and raison d’être– of scholarly publishing is its ability to host significant conversations grounded in the very best of academic expertise and research. It’s both a joy and a serious responsibility. At Notre Dame, we believe in the power of research to advance knowledge and impact lives, and of our books to connect scholars, experts, students, and readers in meaningful ways. Books are a powerful force for good in the world, and as you explore our exhibit we hope you’ll see our books doing their part. As we pursue our mission to publish rigorous and compelling scholarship, we are deeply grateful for the ability to partner with scholars like you.
I hope to see you this year in Denver or at next year’s meeting in San Antonio. Until then, if you have a project that you’d like to share with us, or would like to chat about Notre Dame Press, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’d love to learn more about your work and share the exciting things happening at Notre Dame.
All the best,
Emily R. King, PhD
