Two Notre Dame Press Books Celebrated as Part of 2024 AUPresses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show

The University of Notre Dame Press is proud to announce that two of our recently published books—The Rivers Are Inside Our Homes by Victoria María Castells and Auto/Body by Vickie Vértiz—have been selected as outstanding examples of university press publications as part of the 2024 AUPresses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show.

This annual show honors the university publishing community’s design and production professionals; recognizes achievement in design, production, and manufacture of print publications; and serves as a spark to conversations and source of ideas about intelligent, creative, and resourceful publishing. Open to AUPresses member publishers worldwide for works published in 2023, this year’s competition attracted 507 submissions in six categories.

“It’s so wonderful to see our fabulous designers recognized for their creativity by the AUPresses community,” said Wendy McMillen, Production & Design Manager at Notre Dame Press. “We’re looking forward to displaying all the award winners at our Book Festival.”

Both Notre Dame Press books are featured in the Book Jackets and Covers section of the virtual show and were selected for their unique and beautiful cover designs. All winners can be viewed online or as part of the travelling show scheduled to come to Notre Dame this fall.

Both books are available for sale directly from the University of Notre Dame Press at undpress.nd.edu or wherever books are sold.
