Beginning and the Beyond of Politics
Series Editor(s): Series editors: James R. Stoner and David Walsh
The series is in continuity with the grand tradition of political philosophy that was revitalized by the
scholars who, after the Second World War, taught us to return to the past as a means of understanding
the present. We are convinced that legal and constitutional issues cannot be addressed without
acknowledging the metaphysical dimensions that underpin them. Questions of order arise within a
cosmos that invites us to wonder about its beginning and its end, while drawing out the consequences
for the way we order our lives together. God and man, world and society are the abiding partners within
the community of being in which we find ourselves. Without limiting authors to any particular
framework we welcome all who wish to investigate politics in the widest possible horizon.
