Notre Dame Press is pleased to have two editors attending the American Historical Association 2022 Annual Meeting in New Orleans from January 6-9.
Director Stephen Wrinn and Acquisitions Fellow Dr. Christopher Rios-Sueverkruebbe will be taking meetings and are excited to discuss Notre Dame Press’s history lists. Wrinn will also participate in a panel sponsored by the Association of University Presses:
The Association of University Presses’ Roundtable on Getting Your Book Published
AHA Session 75
Friday, January 7, 2022: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Mardi Gras Ballroom E (New Orleans Marriott, 3rd Floor)
Session Abstract:
Acquisitions editors from leading university presses address a range of issues involved in publishing a monograph, in a roundtable format with plenty of time for questions. The presenters discuss, for example, how and when to approach an editor, tips for crafting a proposal, what to expect from the review process, and typical timelines for the review and production of a book. All the participants work at presses that are full members of the Association of University Presses, which is committed to best practices in scholarly publishing. This roundtable will be of interest not only to first-time authors but to more senior historians as well.
If you are interested in meeting with our editors, please email Dr. Rios-Sueverkruebbe at crios4@nd.edu to set up a meeting.
Notre Dame Press will also host a virtual exhibit for our recent and upcoming history titles. This exhibit features the AUP panel, books and blog posts of interest, and a 40% conference discount.
